Not a lot of work was done over the break. I DID finish my zombie fingerless gloves!! Pretty sweet I must admit =) But that's really all the work that was accomplished.


Zola was quite the sport...rawr!




Friday I was invited to join Bill and her friend at Queen of Sheba. It's an ethiopian resturant which I have never been to. I will admit that I was hesitant at first, but I am glad I went (Bill you win!) and the food was tasty. Check out Bill's post for spectacular pics of this yummy food!

And guess where we went yesterday.....TULSA! yes our classic tulsa trip was recreated again. We went to our usual spots, DoubleShot coffee, under the mooch, shades of brown etc etc. Our new stops were the Philbrook and a new cafe. mmm good additions!

Thanksgiving with the BigBows

Okay let me start by saying that my family on my mom's side is just crazy! We are a bunch of wild NDN's lol. If you'll notice in these pictures that I AM the whitest person in the pictures. If you see anyone whiter than me then they married in the family =)





Ginger loves riding in the car!! She puts her back feet on the middle backseat and her front paws on the console. Never met another dog that does that and I never want to =)




Do you see how huge my cousin John is? HE'S A GIANT! I swear that I'm not that short! Well anyway I learned that he is training to be a cage fighter! At first I thought everyone was joking about it but then the conversation turned serious..WOW did not expect that at all! Like i said my family is....weird?



Here is one of John's daughters. She's only 13 and she's already taller than me!! WOW! Really guys, I'm not that short!

I just got back from DNA Galleries and dropped off some fingerless gloves to be sold...

It's been a stressful short week. today I got another Optical migraine. If you don't know what that is, google it. it's freaky. You lose eyesight in part of one of your eyes for like 45 minutes. Well it just becomes REALLY blurry and you can't see through it. ick!!

I went to Barnes and Noble today and I picked up an interesting looking CD...Lucky for me Barnes and Noble has those awesome "scan in the bar code and hear 30 seconds of the song" machines...=)

SO... I picked up the album "No More Stories Are Told Today I'm Sorry They Washed Away " by MEW

WOW! I never heard of this band and I'm suprised that NO ONE told me about them! Shame on you people! Anyway, YES the first song completely STUNNED me! I just spaced out! It's so AMAZING!!

Disorganized plan

Today has been quite eventful! I dragged my roommate to 4 different record stores to search for "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" by Wilco. Every copy that I found was priced at $16-17 dollars--OUCH! I DO want a copy of it but I'm hoping to find a used copy somewhere...But the fact that there were no used copies to be found assures me that this CD must be one bitchin CD if no one wants to sell it back! right??? In any case, I ran across two other CD's that I am seriously interested in purchasing


•"On Avery Island" by Neutral Milk Hotel. I bought "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" and I am still obsessed with it! I would like to believe that the other album they made is just as impressive as the one I own but yes, I doubted my judgement once again... SO, I shall do some research to see if I want to take a dent in my life savings =)

Here is one song from "On Avery Island" that I heard at hastings last week. I knew instantly that it was Neutral Milk Hotel! yes amazing stuff!



•The other CD that I am interested in buying is "Snake's Got a Leg" by Sunset Rubdown. But once again I have no idea if i should buy this album or a different one that they have?? I'm guessing this one because I truly enjoy "Stadiums and Shrines" which is featured on this album...amazing stuff!




I am smiling now because yeah this song is just that great!

I was going through my YouTube favorites and I ran across this video... here Since I am not a skilled beast with HTML, I can't embed this link. It's worth checking out though...It is a song called "Shot in the back of the head" by MOBY. Honestly I have no idea how it got placed in my favorites but I am glad that it is in there =) I know that I have given my brother my account info and he often favors things that he knows that I'll enjoy...

Tomorrow promises to be quite exciting! Hopefully I will have lots and lots to post afterwards??

In any case, it is my ongoing goal to start and complete a long talked about ZOMBIE project! I would LOVE to get started on it this weekend? maybe get it finished by thanksgiving so when my family asks me what I've been doing with my life I can show them the fruit of my existence??

right now

Currently, right now I am very happy! Since it's so rare for me to feel this way I thought i would post it!
I'm trying to think how I got to my current state and I think that maybe it is because I am pumped with caffeine from Gray Owl coffee?? Or maybe because Rose State decided not to be an a-hole today and I don't need to stress out over dropping a class...Or maybe..it's because I bought WOLF PARADE? I've been looking for it and it's surprisingly hard to find! I managed to find a copy, a cheap copy, at guestroom records! So far so good! I think my next CD will be Wilco but I don't know which album is the best...I guess I need to do some research! if you happen to know then post it below ↓
